Welcome to our Web site!

We are the Upstate Model Railroaders. The club is located in the basement of Aimie's Dinner and a Movie located at 190 Glen Street in downtown Glens Falls NY. Please go to the front door and use the door to the basement on the right as you enter. There will be a sign in the window when the club is in session. All are invited. Learn more about the building and operation of a model railroad. Club activities include: Monthly  business meetings, monthly open houses, weekly operating sessions every Wednesday evening from 7-10 PM, an annual railroad show in December, and field trips. You don't need to be talented in any area of model railroading since part of the club's purpose and function is to provide instruction in various modeling techniques.
Many people expressed an interest in joining the club. Please use the Feedback link to receive an application via email or pick one up at the club any Wednesday evening. Click on the Directions link for the address and map information.

Right of Way

Al Puppo  has sent in a You Tube link that displays a video on how to use decoder pro software to program on engine. This will require a computer, the JRMI software installed on your computer (it is free shareware), and a USB port and an item called locobuffer (purchased from Tony's Train Exchange) that converts the USB signal to a Digitrax signal and connects to the layout via the traditional cable.

Thanks Al!

I have also posted a link on the photo page to the pictures I took at the RPI layout in Troy NY on April 27th 2012.

I am trying something different. The link takes you to a Flickr Photo page where all the pictures are displayed.
