Welcome
Welcome to the Upstate Model Railroaders Club (UMRR). Starting in the early 1990's UMRR has provided a venue for "the love of trains." Since our beginning we have been located in Argyle, Whitehall, Hudson Falls, Fort Edward and several locations in Glens Falls, NY. We were in our most recent location, the basement in the former Aimie's Dinner and Movie facility (B. B. Fowler Building) at 190 Glens Street, for 11 years becoming an asset to indoor entertainment, tourism and commerce in downtown Glens Falls
As of August 2016 the club moved into three 17- by 40-foot spaces in the Chase Sports Complex/Epic Ventures building at 22 Hudson Falls Road, South Glens Falls. Our space is accessed by driving around the left (south) side of the building and continuing to the area behind the building. Enter through door #25 and follow the signs to the three layout rooms.
Within the 1,700 square feet of our new club space at the Chase Sport's Complex we host six operating railroad layouts in different sizes, namely: Standard-, O-, S-, HO-, N- and Z-gauges as well as Lego™ trains. Club members run trains on our layouts using everything from legacy power and controls to the latest digital command control systems. UMRR Club layouts are unique in that very few model railroad clubs in the U.S. have the space, membership and commitment to build and operate more than one or two different scale layouts.
